Description
Handfan with linkage of French origin of the S. XIX composed of pearl (mother pearl) brown color.
Mounted with cotton cloth (country) from the mid 20th century. Painted by M. Esteve (Vicente Martinez Esteve lived in Burjasot (Valencia) where he died approximately in 1985. Son of Esteve master of fan painters, whose paintings created a style well defined and recognized by the whole world).
It represents a dark country scene, with an impressionistic style typical of this saga of painters. The reverse side of the fan has a painting that matches the obverse.
The border of the fabric is from the late 20th century and is made by Gabarda. Measures 45.5 x 24.5 cm.
